In this case, within the pause it gave me, I wrote this claim. Besides the issue of pedantry, there's also the fact that it sometimes makes a claim more difficult to read if it isn't immediately evident that certain words are a title.
Anybody else?
No italics makes sarcasm that much harder....
Italics hurt my eyes, and I'm glad to not have to see them.
Depends on the font, but I tend to reserve them for book titles, names of vessels, and movies, FWIW.
Also, it'd be great if we could name books with XRIs that would uniquely and globally identify them.
I'm pretty comfortable with the _underline convention_. Italics would be nicer, but I don't really feel their absence.

I almost used /italics this way/ but since slashes are a common escape character, I wasn't sure it would work.
Also, I thought other people might think it was ugly. I'm peer pressured about formatting!
I have been troubled in the past that Jyte seems to not recognize the cite tag in comments.

Out of respect for Rachel, when making a comment or claim, I will refrain from using italics when I suspect she will read the claim.Depends on the font, but I tend to reserve them for book titles, names of vessels, and movies, FWIW.
